Piha mills

It was a privilege going to Piha Mills. There was excellent food. Fun but tiring activities. Piha Beach was Beautiful. Swimming in the waterfall was like having ice clothes on. It was fun bonding with people I don't usually hang out with. It was fun being surrounded with my friends. I hope I get an opportunity to go back!

In French I was learning how to say numbers and put it into a sentence.

What I Learnt

This week at maths I learnt about Ratio. For an example: 'There is 6 blue and 4 yellow gum balls in a packet. What if I had 5 packets? It will be written as 4:5. I'll add 4 and 5 it will be 9 and 9x5=45. And I know that I'll have 20 yellow and 30 blue.'

Priest Advertisement

French Week 1

In French this week I was learning how to greet each other in French. Here is a conversation in English where two greet each other and I translated it into French.

English
Roller: Hello Mimi
Mimi: Hello Roller
Roller: How are you?
Mimi: I’m ok, how are you?
Roller: I’m good.

French
Roller: Bonjour Mimi
Mimi: Bonjour Roller
Roller: Ça va?
Mimi: Comme ci, comme Ça, Ça va?
Roller: Ça va bien

In the Forest

Aaron glanced across at Zane and noticed the expression on his face. He knew that Zane was scared. The guides cheek that they had all of their gear. They looked into the pitch black forest.

One-by-One six students walk in the forest. When suddenly they heard hoot...hoot...hoot Aron and Zane turned around in fright. To their surprise it was a harmless owl. So they continued on.  

Thirty minutes later the guides stopped. There was a flight of stairs. They were all silent. Hoot...Hoot...Hoot. The sound was louder than ever. One-by-One they started to climb the stairs.

When they reached the top they looked. They all saw the beauty of the forest. They saw every inch of the forest. They were happy that they made it all the way to the top of the forest.

Basketball

Yes! This is going to be fun!

Room 7 went to the court. We saw a man there he was holding a ball. The man told us to line up on the yellow line. The man said he was “Coach Blue” We were in four teams at first. But the last two people of each team had to make another line. Now there was five teams. At first I was with Eneasi, Maxine, and Zephaniah.

Coach Blue taught us how to dribble the ball. He told us we can only dribble with one hand. That is the rules in basketball. He was telling us to bend our knees and stick your bottoms out. I thought that was silly but it helped a lot. So I went first. We could have chosen any hand. I used my left hand because I’m left handed. So I dribbled the ball as fast as I can. I was totally awesome. But it was hard for me to turn around and go back. I tried to bounce the ball to Asi as I came closer to him. Asi started to dribble the ball. I went to the back of the line. After that game we only did one hand. And it was the right hand first. Then the left hand. I swapped teams on the last game. We had to flip over the cones. It was fun. I flipped the cone with ease. Conclusion it was AWESOME. I can’t wait till next time!

Mothers Day

My mum is very special to me. My mum is like food to me. I love to eat food. If I love to eat I’ll love my mum. When I come home there is a hot plate of food for me to eat. She always protects me and my sister. My mum raised me and feed me. She tells the funniest stories ever! She said when I was a baby and saw yogurt I would hold my breath and my dad would start blowing in my mouth! My mum is very nice and tries to make me and my sister happy and safe.

Rona and the Moon

Long ago in New Zealand there was a girl named Rona. It was night and she was thirsty. She looked into the water jar. “Oh no! No water!” So she had to go to the well. She was walking to the well when suddenly... the moon came out. “Thank goodness, I’m nearly at the forest. Rona had the water when the moon disappeared. She dropped the water because she bumped into a tea tree. So she started to curse at the moon. “You %@#*@#$ moon! You can’t do $#*&! SO &*^@ YOU!” The moon came out. “Why have you woken me?!?!” The moon was angry. Rona was still cursing the moon. “You shall be taken away!” Rona finally realised. She started to beg for forgiveness. The moon got more furious at Rona. So the moon began to suck her up. Rona tried to grab a Tea Tree. But the tree got sucked up with her.

Legend says that Rona is still up there. When there is a full moon look closely at it and you’ll see Rona with the tree.

Mathematical update

Hey! I'm here to talk about my maths. So I'm going to tell you about it! I learnt about tidy numbers. I learnt how to subtract and add. It was pretty tricky. But luckily I had help from Lavnia. 
For an example:
23-47=? I'll +3 to 23 & 47 and now they'll be 25-50 it will be easier to take away. Because half of 50 is 25, 25 will be the answer.
See that's how I will figure the subtraction. Now the addition
Example:
24+ 58=? I'll take away 2 from the 24 and that'll make it 22 and the 58 will be 60. 20+60=80. 80+2=82. The answer is 82!

Lee and her father went to the countryside to get to their house. The mother has left to Montana in USA for University exchange. Lee had to help her fragile father. Her Uncle Matt invited them over for breakfast. Her and her father with her little cousin Joey to a trip on a boat.

Earlier...

Act 1:
Liverpool 1960, Mrs Johnstone got married, but not so long after her husband walked out on her for someone else. She didn’t have enough money for the milk so she had to work for a wealthy family, Mr and Mrs Lyons. When she finished working the doctor told Mrs Johnstone that she was pregnant with twins. She was so shocked. She didn’t have enough money to feed her second child. She told Mrs Lyon about it the next day. Mrs Lyon had and brilliant but cunning idea. She told Mrs Johnstone to give one of her twins to her. Mrs Johnstone accepted it and swore to the bible. When the new arrivals came Mrs Johnstone was late on pay. They came and took everything away. Mrs Lyon came and took away one of the babies. Mrs Johnstone couldn’t watch so she turned away.

They grew up Mrs Johnstone named her child Michael (Micky) and Mr and Mrs Lyon named their child Edward (Eddie). Mr Johnstone got fired so she doesn’t want Micky to hang around where Eddie lived. But Micky did with his brother Sammy. He got into trouble. Eddie followed Mickey to his house and Micky asked if he could have some. Eddie says he could and the become Best Friends. They found out that they have the same birthday. So they become Blood Brother.

When Mrs Lyon found out about it they shifted. When Eddie found out he didn’t like the idea. But he had to. The last place he went to is Mrs Johnstone’s house. Mrs Johnstone gave Eddie a locket that had her and Mickey so Eddie can remember them while he is somewhere else.

Later on Mrs Johnstone found out that she was shifting. They were all excited.
Act 1 finished.

It was half time I needed to go to the bathroom. I had a paper that had ‘Blood Brothers’ on it. Our break is over now we had to go back to the theater.

Act 2:
Now Mickey and Eddie are 14 with Linda. They keep on growing. When they are 18 Mickey and Linda are married and Eddie is still in love with Linda, Mickey is on pills and he has a job. While Mickey was at work Mrs Lyon showed Mickey that Eddie and Linda was kissing. So Mickey got a gun and he was about to kill Eddie. Right then Mickey stopped because Mrs Johnstone told him that they were twins. At that moment the cop came and shot theme. The narrator questioned Mrs Lyon.

Hey for so I'm going to talk about math.  I was doing statistics and I just learnt how to present a Timeline Graph. So here it is!  

FRIDAY!

Hey! Today is finally FRIDAY! So I’m going to tell you something that is not that important but who care. So today in my class Room 7, we had an assembly. Exciting?

Our assembly is about the virtue of faith. Faith simply means believe. 

We did a rap and a song about faith. I’m not going to tell you how it goes. Anyway I had two good ideas that my class used for our assembly. This is the first time my class listened to me! 

Guess we should present our assembly like the television presenters. Out came the cartoon boxes and Mrs Tui and the girls were on to making our TV box. Pretty clever aye? Well that's all I came here for!

Our presenters were pretty awesome and the assembly went really well.

Welcome to 2012

Hello! Welcome back to my blog for 2012. I haven't posted for a long time because it was school holiday in New Zealand.

All I did was play games, eat, and sleep. Doesn't sound fun aye? Well lucky for me I got to go Blockbuster. Yes but unfortunately my sister she brought BARBIE movies. Now I was bored to death.
